Features and benefits
- EcoKerb complements EcoPave flag paving and block paving as
well as Appalachian flag paving. Its natural rough-hewn appearance
allows it to blend in especially well with traditional and
conservation environments.

All EcoPave units are shrink-wrapped using
recycled materials.
Design considerations
Complementary products
The Eco Range – paving, block and kerb – is designed as an
integrated system. The products are also fully compatible with
other Charcon flag and block ranges, especially Appalachian
Standards
EcoKerb products comply with the performance levels in European
Standard BS EN 1340.
Composition and manufacture
The product mixes for Charcon’s Eco Range seek to utilise the
most sustainable resources. The following materials have been
selected to maximise resource productivity:
Copper slag
This is a by-product from copper smelting. It is used to create
the decorative finish of the product instead of virgin aggregate
material.
China clay stent
A by-product of the china clay industry used as an aggregate
instead of quarrying virgin materials.
Water
Water used in the manufacturing process is recycled.
Performance
Strength
EcoKerb meets the requirements of BS EN 1340.
Specification clauses
EcoPave flag paving has been tested for slip resistance in
accordance with BS EN 1339 and the potential for slip is rated

Appearance and characteristics
The Eco Range has the hard-wearing characteristics of granite at
an affordable price.
