Countryside Classic kerb products comply with the performance levels in European Standard BS EN 1340.

Composition and manufacture

Manufactured from South West granites using a wet pressed method. The kerb is then shot blasted to expose the aggregate.

Formula to work out a Radius

Design standards

All installations should be detailed and constructed in accordance with BS7533: Part 3 and Part 6.

Haunching

All kerbing should normally be haunched with concrete to ensure full stability and support for adjacent paving and to help withstand occasional vehicular impact.

K-lite Tradtional and Countryside Classic Kerb

Sub-grade
As for adjoining paved areas.

Sub-base
As for adjoining paved areas.

Bedding and haunching
Material: concrete (grade ST1).
K-lite Traditional may be laid to full or half batter.

Countryside Classic minimum dimensions:
Bed: 150 mm
Haunch: 100 mm.

Detailing

Radii:
K-lite Traditional - use shorter (290 mm or 456 mm lengths) units to form radius kerb-line.
Countryside Classic - select from 1.8, 3, 6 or 9 metre radius units (External only).

Driveway crossing:
K-lite Traditional.
Countryside Classic - use left-hand and right-hand droppers with crossing kerb units.
K-lite Traditional Kerb: Laid to half batter (can also be laid to full batter or vertically)
